Alternate Title: The Evil Beneath Loch Ness
IMDB link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0256155/
Starring: Patrick Bergen, an Irishman, who has actually been in some good movies, and the guy who plays Tank Girl’s boyfriend who gets shot up at the beginning of the movie.
Review in a nutshell: The only thing about this movie that is based on reality is how dark it is in the Loch. When I was a young kid I fascinated by tales of the Loch Ness monster so I read everything I could get my hands on. I got older and skeptical but that doesn’t mean I don’t like a good story. This wasn’t it. It was Jaws meets Indiana Jones… complete with the hero’s hat always being recoverable. Even after Nessy knocks him out of a boat.
Where I found it: Netflix
How much I paid for it: 96 minutes
Points of interest: The love interest is a TV executive named Elizabeth Borden, but they did nothing cool with it. And Patrick Bergen’s character is refered to as Captain Bligh for a large chunk of the film. However at some point his name is changed to Blay.
The Money Shot: There’s one shot of Nessy leaping out of the water and her head looks like a penis.
My Favorite Line: Come to Daddy…
